The Beach

Ivan Dolac

Croatia's sea is the cleanest crystal-blue sea in the Mediterranean, while the sea around the island of Hvar is most likely the cleanest in Croatia. Due to the cleanliness of the sea and low cloudiness, the  clarity can be measured up to 15 m in depth, providing coastal waters that are  light green and intensive blue in color. The sea has the most incredible shades that only you can imagine and desire. This is the reason why Hvar is one of the most sought after places among world professional and sporting divers.

The coast in Ivan Dolac is mostly rocky. The beaches are small, intimate, sandy with pebbles, often surrounded with pine trees. There is sufficient sea depth after a few meters from the shore. There are no sea urchins in the beach waters, with the exception of the reef areas, thus confirming the existing cleanliness.
